Knocking again!

2011 has been eventful, yes, but a terrible blogging year! Should I take this up as a resolution? *In deep thought*

Seed

So sweet is the taste of victory. Not just yours, but that of those around you. It inspires and s.t.i.m.u.l.a.t.e.s!
It becomes the seed,
that which defies gravity,
and sustains all negative forces acting upon.
It grows, sinks roots, deeper and deeper,
turns out to be a fountainhead of motivation.
It pervades the goodness, goads one into action.

A toast to the proactive nature, the seed of spark!

P.S Dedicated to my class BME guys who have achieved.

Much needed slap of the hour

THIS is an extraordinary piece of truth oozing. Extraordinary - because, the author has reflected what has been running through my mind, in an aggressively articulate manner (unlike me).
Slap yourselves! (I am not an exception to this command)

An open letter to Gangsters

Dear Gangsters,

Friendship earned during college life is a treasure trove. That’s an inherent part of the sweet memories that every one of us will carry along. By friendships, I mean to say that most of us consider classmates or college mates as mere acquaintances. But the inner circle of friends whom we always hang out with makes our “gang”. Fancy names, funny resolutions like promising to keep in touch for eternity (might be true in some cases), lot of laughter, prank-some times, bantering, little studying and tight bonding – all these characterize a few stipulated things that every gang member experiences. As an innocent bystander, I have a few bellyaching questions to ask! Does being in a gang necessarily mean every member should conform to their gang’s standards? Should someone lose their sense of identity by means of aping and trying to desperately prove they are cool dudes/dudettes? Is it true that mingling with people becomes biased? Why the non-gang members should always be scrutinized for their coolness quotient before even talking?! Why do you guys text the nerds only for test portions or notes? What are you trying to convey by posting gang pictures and communicating with codes on networking sites? Tempting others? Bah! And yes, boycotting co-curricular events organized by classmates just because you feel your gang hasn’t been given equal importance/opportunity! Whew! The mistake is on your part guys, you should reach out to the class! If you remain recluse, then it definitely is unfair on your part to expect red carpet invite from others!
After all the rhetoric I just indulged in, I’d stress that gangism isn’t terrible. It’s in fact very natural to be with like minded people (read, same wavelength). A request from a non-gangster is that everyone should be respected and approached without use n throw attitude. Ethical gangism is appreciated by all means!

cheers,
me

On your birthday...

It’s there! (As Always…)
It’s there,
In my anger, when you are not attending/returning calls, disappearing for days without texting/talking
In your apathy, and a stubborn belief in it
In my contemplation, about our differences and STRIKING similarities
In your responses, the mere “Um”s and “Yeah”s
In my friendly punches & scuffles with you
In your ‘just a smile’ reaction
It’s there,
During our times together – gossiping, sharing grievances-worries, loads of laughter - or just the feeling of each others’ comforting presence
It’s there,
When we chatter as a group, all the time bantering!
It’s there,
In our dislike for public display of affection as much as our strong LEO-August sentiments!
It’s there,
Our intimate bond, its undisputed existence!
It’s there, it’s thriving!
Unseen and unheard by the rest of the crowd
It’s there! We’d stay in touch!
Even if we contact/meet, years later,
That dormant object revived back to life
My anger vanishing ; Your apathy crumbling
There I’ll see it ; You’ll cherish it!
Our Love,
That sisterly romance,
That ineffable emotion beyond friendship
The reunion of two Silent Spectators
The Silent Revolutionaries ;)

Loads of Love

Revival on Independence Day

Yet another year of independence has zipped past us. We have seen terrible things recently. Unimaginable heights of corruption, political scams, bad governance, absurd verdicts, growing divide and of course the world cup (pun intended) ! Prying 24X7 news channels have too much take in! With state-of-the-nation polls being conducted, charming politicians have already been lined up to be take up top posts in future! A Mahatma, a Godman, a former IPS officer, an accused in the Babri Masjid demolition case and citizen groups with whimsically patriotic people had joined hands against corruption! Bravo!

P.S: It's been quite a while since I rambled here. This note is just part of The Lament. Lot more to go. Happy Independence Day.

Webbed!

Viewed via a 'window to the world' , web technology is the ruler of the era!  Truly a-mazed by how much can be done and humbled by the geniuses who thought about this creation! Unable to suppress the wonder everytime I login, just like how excited I was to have a unique username password as a kid. The best part about the whole thing  is getting quick solutions to quandaries < literally, anything under the Sun ;) > I'd spoken about the narcissistic part of social networking sites, but their grandness in terms of the amount of pertinent information we get in forums and the perfect people to ask a query, is indeed unsurmountable. Guess merits become obvious, only when used with the intent to get something out of it. Pondering about the Utopian situation - when every man has the privilege to access this openly available treasure trove.
